The Cathedral in Palma is really called Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Palma de Mallorca or simply, Catedral de Mallorca. Locals call it La Seu. Above the main portal we find the inscription Non Est Factum Tale Opus In Universis Regnis (There is nothing like it in any kingdom). After an earthquake in 1851, this Western facade had to be rebuilt and was subsequently designed by the architect, Juan Bautista Peyronet. The exquisite stonework was extensively restored some ten years ago. The photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain. The date: January 9th, 2014.
